About this template

Shortlist is a job board template. Jobs live in the CMS, visitors filter them by search, category, workplace, job type and salary, and every job page carries Google for Jobs data. Employers get a pricing page and a submission form.

Working components

Job Filters: search, category chips built from your jobs, Workplace, Type and minimum salary, with a live count and an empty state. Filters stay in the URL (e.g. ?cat=Design&where=Remote), so filtered lists can be shared.

Job Card: one CMS listing with logo or initials, Featured badge, salary range, tags and age. Hides itself when it doesn't match the filters, or after its Days Live.

Job Posting (Google): invisible schema.org JobPosting data: title, full description, company, remote or on-site location, salary, job type and expiry.

Subscribe: job alerts to Kit, Buttondown, Mailchimp, Substack or a webhook. beehiiv shows your embed. Demo mode sends nothing.

Good to know

Employers don't post jobs themselves and there's no payment built in. The form sends the job to you; you add it to the CMS and send a payment link.

Google decides whether jobs appear in its job search. The template provides the data Google asks for.

The salary filter compares numbers only, so keep one currency per board.

Demo jobs never expire. Set Days Live (e.g. 30) on real jobs.
